Access Control Services delivers integrated mechanical and electronic access solutions to protect UBC’s people, property, and institutional assets. Delivered by our Systems & Technology Stream, this service ensures that door hardware, credential-based access, and intrusion systems operate as a unified, secure, and reliable framework.
Our team works closely with departments and units providing technical expertise to design, install, maintain, and support UBC’s access infrastructure across academic, research, and administrative spaces.
Our staff also install and maintain cameras as part of an integrated access control strategy.
Site Security Assessments
We provide strategic and consultative oversight to integrate physical security systems and risk-reducing design principles into both new construction and existing spaces, bringing together strategic systems design and site-based risk assessment to ensure campus spaces are safe, secure, and aligned with institutional standards.
