Personal safety planning
Community Safety supports personal safety through awareness, prevention, intervention, and response
Community Safety offers personal safety planning for the UBC community, including students, staff and faculty. We acknowledge that every situation is different and we will work with you to develop an individualized safety plan that equips you with strategies for managing your safety. We work with individuals, groups, units and departments who are interested in creating a plan due to a safety concern. Your safety is our priority and we will provide you with situation-specific guidance, tools, and resources so you can make informed decisions regarding your safety.
Safety plans can be developed for (but not limited to):
- Intimate partner violence
- Sexual violence
- Stalking/harassing behaviour
- Online safety
- Staying safe on campus
- Travelling or commuting to and from campus
